| MetatOGGer 7.7.1.2 Mar 5, 2026 |
The font size of the grid has been increased from 11 to 12, and the minimum line height has been increased by 3 pixels. Although this comes at the expense of a slight loss of information density on the screen, the grid is now more spacious and readable. The height of the column header row has also been increased by 6 pixels, which should limit incorrect manipulations when dragging and dropping column headers to adjust their order. Automatic column resizing is a handy feature for viewing the full content of all tags as soon as files are loaded. However, it is true that for excessively long tag values, the column could be disproportionately large and therefore impractical. From now on, automatic column resizing will be capped at a width of 500 pixels. It is now possible to select multiple folders at the same time in the Add folders dialog box. This dialog box can be opened with the keyboard shortcut Shift+Ctrl+O. Tags enabled for writing in the Add or modify tags tool are now displayed in bold to make them more prominent and thus avoid accidental deletion (a missing value causes the tag to be deleted). Scripts available in the drop-down list of the Edit tags with C# scripts tool are now sorted alphabetically. Now, you just need to start the name of the user’s scripts with a space, _, or a number to make them appear first in the drop-down list. Finally, WebP and AVIF format covers are now supported. This support requires the installation of official Microsoft image extensions from the store (WebP, AVIF), if they are not already installed. Please note that this support is read-only; it is not possible to re-encode/convert images to these formats. |

Metatogger 7.6.4 can now handle sidecar files for audio files. These are files with the same name as the audio file, but with a different extension. For example, when you have an audio file named My Song.mp3 and a sidecar file named My Song.lrc containing the lyrics of the song. In this new version of Metatogger, the sidecar file will be renamed, copied or moved at the same time as the audio file. This keeps sidecar files synchronized with audio files. A new advanced parameter ProcessSidecarFiles controls this behavior (enabled by default). |
