Updated to ExifTool version 13.44. The thumbnails temporarily created in the image browser when the Print or Export commands are executed can no longer be closed from within the image browser. Changes to masks: Mask settings menu: renamed the Save current mask and Combine saved mask commands to Store mask image and Combine stored mask image. These commands work as before, making a temporary copy of the current mask image that you can use later in the same Mask session. The stored mask image is erased when you close the Mask dialog box. Added a new Mask Touch tool – see the updated help and Creating and Using Masks.pdf files for details. A full installation is required due to one new bitmap. |

Added File/Save – Copy Metadata command to let you save the current image but select which file’s metadata is copied to the output file. You could use this, for example to open a PNG file generated by Aiarty Image Enhancer and save it as a TIFF file, while preserving all the metadata from the original raw file. Modified Distort transformation to use less stack space. This should prevent crashing in some cases. I also increase the size of the stack. Monitor/Printer Curves: dialog box is now modeless so it can remain open while you use other parts of Picture Window. Resize: fixed problem with incorrect display of input image memory size. |

Updated from Visual Studio 2022 to Visual Studio 2026. Added two new items to the settings menus of all transformations: Set (or Reset) Initial Window Placement. When you create or edit a transformation, its dialog box is normally positioned according to File Preferences (Initial Dialog Position). These new commands let you change the initial position and size of transformation dialog boxes to match the current transformation dialog box. A change to the current transformation affects all current or future transformations of the same type. For example, if you set the initial window placement for a Crop transformation, then the next time you create or open a Crop transformation, the new position and size are applied. |
