General: Added the option to attach hardware specs when writing or updating a Steam User Review on a game's store page Added the option to provide anonymized framerate data. When enabled Steam will collect gameplay framerate data, stored without connection to your Steam account but identified with the kind of hardware you are playing on. This data will help us learn about game compatibility and improve Steam. This feature is currently in Beta with a focus on devices running SteamOS. Added an icon on tools in the game list with a tooltip to explain what they are. Added notification settings for showing a toast and playing a sound when an achievement is unlocked. Added a warning dialog when a user selects "Tools" in their library filter for the first time that explains what tools are and why they are showing up in the game list. Fixed intermittent error in downloads view when moving game entries between scheduled and queued sections. Fixed displaying TPM and Secure Boot status on Windows in Steam's System Information dialog when running the 64-bit client. Fixed issue where a game beta/version showed the date for when the beta was assigned, instead of showing the date when the game build was created. Library: Installed demos that are no longer playable now show "Uninstall" instead of "Play" as their primary action. Newly added demos and free to play games will appear at the top of the recent games list. Hardware Survey / System Information: Fixed an issue where VRAM on some graphics cards was not reported correctly (-1) In the case of multiple display adapters, we now select the one with the most VRAM to display and report to Steam Game Recording: Fixed exporting clips for games with names that contain invalid Windows file name characters, such as "?". General: Added display of selected store tags to app filter/collection dialog. Reworked the Application Properties -> Betas UI. Fixed certain games using Steam DRM exiting unexpectedly, including Mafia II (Classic) and Football Manager 2012. Fixed missing registry key error when running Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. Fixed Steam client crash when Astrill VPN is installed. Fixed crash on Windows when certain force feedback gamepad drivers are installed. Fixed Steam client hang when a Nacon PS4 Compact Controller is connected. Fixed a case where plugging in a controller could trigger a 'Part of this app has been blocked' dialog. Fixed error when connecting in multiplayer to Source SDK games. Library: Advanced filtering now supports filtering by language and accessibility features. Friends & Chat: Other members of public group chats that you are a member of can no longer send you direct messages by default. You can now toggle the ability for group chat members that you are not friends with to direct message you in the 'Permissions' section of each group chat's settings. Added a 'report' option to the right-click context menu on chat window tabs and profile names in the chat log. This is in addition to the existing 'report' option on chat messages. Big Picture Mode: When connecting a new controller, the glyphs in the footer will now update immediately instead of after the first input from the controller. Fixed incorrect controller glyph in library filter selection dialog and filter description. Remote Play: Fixed resolution being incorrect when streaming to macOS in fullscreen mode. SteamVR: Fixed some instances of Dashboard UI elements not appearing. Steam Input: Nintendo Switch 2 wired controller support has been re-enabled GameCube adapters in Wii-U mode are not enabled by default, since opening them is exclusive with other applications. General: The Steam client is now 64-bit on Windows 11 and Windows 10 64-bit. Systems running 32-bit versions of Windows will continue receiving updates to the 32-bit Steam client until January 1, 2026. Fixed non-Steam browser windows erroneously being created sometimes when steamwebhelper is restarted. Game Recording: Fixed errors copying to clipboard or exporting H265 videos on systems with a NVIDIA 50xx series gpu. Friends & Chat: Suspicious or harassing group chat messages can now be reported directly in the chat window by right clicking the message. You can optionally block and/or unfriend the other user while submitting the report. Big Picture Mode: Fixed intermittent in-game purchase failures for some games. Remote Play: Fixed being unable to move the mouse to another monitor when using touch controls on the Steam Link app. Steam Input: Added support for Nintendo Switch 2 controllers connected over USB on Windows Added support for GameCube adapters in Wii-U mode with rumble on Windows Added an "Invert Input" toggle in "Regular Press" activator settings. When enabled, this causes button presses to generate releases, and vice versa. Promoted the newer gyro modes from beta to the default gyro modes loaded. Older configuration that are using the older modes will still see the option and you can also enable Steam Input dev mode under Settings->Developer to keep them visible all the time. Adjusted Dualsense "Create" and "Options" glyphs for better recall. In all Gyro Modes, when selecting multiple gyro activation buttons, you can also choose whether "Any" or "All" buttons are required to Enable/Suppress/Toggle the gyro. Gyro Haptic On/Off effect is now separated from Gyro Haptic Rotation Effect. Gyro to Joystick Deflection Mode: Added "Use Relative Roll" & "Use Relative Pitch" toggles.
