Fix: Rollback of Previous Fix below due to further issues being caused with some projects: Library Compilation: Ensure correct libraries are used when there are dummy libraries missing headers involved (e.g. Teknic ClearCore with SD Library) (Reported Here) Fix: Ensure Board Package JSON files are valid, and if from GitHub URL failover to RAW Content URL. Affects Unofficial 3rd Party URLs and User Entered URL's (Reported Here) Fix: Ensure ESP32 OTA Upload works for Packages > 3.0 (Reported Here and Here) Fix: Ensure when dot_a_linkage is written out to library.properties as part of AutoPrecompile, it is in lowercase (else True != true when reparsing) (Reported Here) Fix: Improve Error Output when #include is found with Illegal Characters In Path (only happens when Serial Debug is enabled) (Reported Here) Fix: Ensure FileSystemWatcher uses Rename events as well as LastWrite, due to how VS Saves files internally (Reported Here, and anecdotally in other threads) Fix: HWDebugger: Arduino Portenta H7: Add STLinkv1/2/3 Option for Debugging H7 Core (No Debug available via HLA_SWD for M4 Core) (Reported Here) Fix: Remove "vMicro > Add Code > Import Local Arduino Core (Pro)" as it causes issues with multiple boards. Use "arduino-portable" folders instead. Fix: ESP32 Publish Server Data Files failed when PartitionScheme=Custom is selected (blank entry), even though valid files are available in the build folder (Reported Here) Fix: ESP32 Publish Server Data Files: Failed to identify FFAT Partition if it had a name other than ffat. Now only needs SubType of fat/spiffs as per specification (Reported Here) Fix: IDE Locations: Improve validation of fields to ensure if erroneous URL is entered the warning is still shown to the user (previously the error only showed for folder paths, not URL's etc). Fix: Portable Solution: Ensure when Portable Solution is in use, any properties loaded from default location (e.g. %LOCALAPPDATA%Arduino15) are fully refres |

Rolled Back Fix: Library Compilation: Ensure correct libraries are used when there are dummy libraries missing headers involved (e.g. Teknic ClearCore with SD Library) (Reported Here) Fix: Addition of USB Debuggers for ESP32C6 and ESP32H2 Modules Fix: Ensure all ESP32 USB Debugging uses GDBScript and correct OpenOCD by Default (reducing overrides) Fix: Internal: Allow debug.toolingsystem=gdbscript to be set per-debugger (e.g. tools.espc6usb.debug.toolingsystem=gdbscript) Fix: Ensure all ESP32 Boards use correct target config {build.mcu}.cfg where no specific board.cfg is available (e.g. Wrover), ensuring ALL ESP32 Boards have their Hardware Debugging configuration available. Fix: Addition of new local Board.txt property to allow INO File Encoding to be detected and used during compilation (instead of overridden as UTF8). vm.compiler.use_file_own_encoding=true |

Fix: Compile: Deep Search Cache failed if Board has no Variants (e.g. Teensy 3.5) Fix: Compile: Caching Failed when any core or library path contained spaces due to ReadAllLinesWithEncodingDotD() splitting on spaces as well (Reported Here and Here) Fix: Micro Explorer: Boards Manager: When using "Check For Updates" if new versions are added they are now correctly displayed at the top of the list as expected. Fix: Intellisense: Force E0338 Intellisense Errors to be Ignored for all Boards (Reported Here) Fix: Logging: Expose Full Solution Platform Name (e.g. ARM64) to logging for easier assistance for Intellisense Errors (vm.solution.platform_name) Fix: Serial Monitor: DTR/RTS are no longer persisted between sessions, and default to True (unless serial.disableDTR || serial.disableRTS are set in boards.txt configurations). Fix: Tools > Options no longer shows RTS/DTR configuration settings as ignored in the Serial Monitor change. Fix: OTA Upload: Network Upload Failed on Arduino Nano ESP32 due to 2.x upload tool standards not being implemented (Reported Here) Update: Deep Search Analysis added to Compiler Menu, to guide users to improved Deep Search Options for Lib In Sketch and Lib In Lib where available (Documentation Page) Update: Users can specify Intellisense Errors to ignore using vm.intellisense.ignore-error-codes=123 (for e.g. E0123), requires reload of IDE. |
