Feature: Output now shows if an error is suspected to be due to Long Paths not being enabled in Windows (Documentation) Fix: Extension Publish improved to ensure no missing DLL causing issues with Compile/Intellisense (Reported Here and Here) Update: Tools > Options > System: Added "Windows Long Paths Enabled" to expose the Windows setting for long paths for easier user guidance. Fix: GCC v7-2017q4 has issues with long paths (especially Portable) even with LongPathsEnabled in Windows, for many board packages, resulting in the bits/c++config.h not being found (generally). Adding direct include to toolchain fixes this. Affects Board Packages mbed_edge, mbed_giga, mbed_nano, mbed_nicla, mbed_opta, mbed_portenta, mbed_rp2040, renesas_portenta, samd, renesas_uno, mbed [DEPRECATED] (Historical Report Example) Fix: When changing "FileSystemUploadTool" or "Automatic FS Upload" after compilation the Deep Search & Build Caching could be invalidated on ESP32, ESP8266, Teensy with no technical reason to invalidate the cache (if FQBN is used in Compile recipes). |
